It all began about 20 years ago...
19 years ago Bob D'Andrea, Founder of the Christian Televsion Network, had a vision from the Lord. The body of Christ needed a program devoted to intercession. At that time, christian programs were preaching the gospel. There were not any programs centered soley around prayer. The Lord spoke to Bob concerning the need for just such a ministry.
Pastor Richard Dorch also had the same vision. He approached Bob with the idea in the summer of 1988. The two men agreed it was the Lord who wanted the broadcast and the program began. At first, the ministry was only an hour. Today the program is three hours in length and can now reach millions of souls on many affiliate stations. The concept is simple. A pastor with a heart for prayer lifts up the needs of viewers who call in.
